Nuggets guard Malik Beasley appeared on the latest edition of the HoopsHype Podcast with Alex Kennedy to offer his insight on a variety of topics. Among some of his more noteworthy comments:
- He considers building his strength, developing his ball handling skills, and improving his defense to be the areas of his game he needs to work on most.
- His focus this summer is “to be in the best shape possible… Whenever [Coach Malone] needs me I want to make sure my stamina is in the best shape possible.”
- Beasley said the veteran teammates who helped him most included Kenneth Faried, Mike Miller, Will Barton, Darrell Arthur, Gary Harris, and Jameer Nelson.
- On what it means for the Nuggets that Paul Millsap signed with them: “He’s not selfish, he’s not selfish at all. That’s what this team needs, not selfish, and handles the ball really well. He also brings leadership to this team, man, he’s been through a lot in both Atlanta and Utah, and he’s an All-Star… It shows that we can compete with some of the best, and that we’re ready to compete in the playoffs.”
